Sai Paul, Ph.D.

Sai Paul, Ph.D. Sai earned bachelor’s degrees in both bioengineering and neurobiology from UW. She earned her Ph.D. in bioengineering from Rice University. Sai’s technical experience spans topics in bioengineering, biomechanics, molecular biology, neurobiology, and biomedical engineering technologies.

Her research experience primarily focused on point-of-care diagnostics development, specifically for cervical cancer screening, sepsis detection, and COVID-19 detection. Sai’s technical experience also includes image analysis, mobile app development, and studying bacterial adhesion biomechanics. Sai has experience collaborating with researchers and industry partners.

As a patent agent, Sai has experience drafting and prosecuting patent applications related to diagnostic and therapeutic technologies, genetic engineering, medical devices, and computer networking.
