Aditya Krishnan brings over 25 years of expertise in patent preparation, prosecution, and representation before the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO). He is dedicated to crafting detailed patent applications that align with each client’s objectives, providing robust support in areas such as patent prosecution, licensing, mergers and acquisitions, risk assessment, design-around strategies, freedom to operate, due diligence, and litigation. His technical knowledge spans a wide range of industries, including automotive, aerospace, medical, software, defense, and finance, with a particular focus on software start-ups and navigating software patentability, including challenges related to Alice rejections.

Aditya’s representation extends to both the USPTO and the European Patent Office (EPO), where he has successfully handled patent appeals. His portfolio includes drafting patent applications for a variety of technologies, including 5G/4G protocols, cybersecurity, SaaS, embedded systems, AI, database architectures, graphics processing, blockchain, vehicle systems, medical devices, and solar technology. His career also includes roles as in-house IP counsel for top Silicon Valley technology firms and as a primary patent examiner at the USPTO with full signatory authority.
