Brian's practice covers all aspects of intellectual property law with an emphasis on drafting and prosecuting patent applications. His clients range from individuals to major corporations.  

Brian has experience in preparing and prosecuting patents in the areas of general mechanical devices, plumbing systems, building structure safety systems, MEMS devices and related circuitry, medical devices and implants, memristive data storage devices, lab-on-chip devices, printing systems and inks, 3D printing devices and systems, imaging systems and devices, and computer architecture, networking, and storage systems, software-intensive computer processes, web services, and e-commerce, among many others.  

In addition, Brian has experience in providing clients with other intellectual property needs including preparations and prosecution of design patent applications, licensing and acquisition of intellectual property, and preparation, filing, and prosecution of trademarks and copyright applications.  

Before joining Lee & Hayes, Brian worked for both national and regional intellectual property law and general practice law firms.
