Ryan Gentes is a partner in the firm's Atlanta office, where her practice focuses on litigation related to patents and other intellectual property. Ryan’s litigation experience includes complex infringement and validity analyses, strategizing and drafting critical motions and comprehensive trial briefs, taking and defending key depositions, and working with technical experts in preparation for deposition and trial.

Additionally, she is a seasoned advocate, and regularly takes a leading role in arguing critical motions and other matters, including Markman and Preliminary Injunction actions, in Federal Court. Ryan has expertise in a broad array of technical fields including the mechanical arts, medical devices, software applications, and manufacturing systems and processes.  

Ryan also has substantial experience drafting and prosecuting utility and design patent applications, and represents clients in the full range of post-grant proceedings at the United States Patent and Trademark Office including inter partes review (IPRs), ex parte reexamination, and supplemental examination. In this regard, Ryan both successfully petitioned to invalidate patents and successfully prepared patent owner responses to maintain patent validity.
